Kitchen Garden at Rodneys
Opened in 1996, Rodney’s has become a popular meeting place for business meetings, mothers groups, family get togethers or a relaxed lunch for friends. We are committed to great service and freshly made, high quality food.
Our executive chef Nathan Kleinig has worked in many well known restaurants around Canberra and came to us after being the executive chef at Parliament house.
Rodney’s serves breakfast, lunch and an all day menu consisting of a range of sensational cakes, biscuits, slices, and Devonshire teas. Gluten free diets catered for.
At Rodney’s we have beautiful lush grounds with lots of potted plants and green spaces. We have lots of little nooks for lovely private lunches as well as lovely couches for relaxed dining. Our sandstone courtyard is beautifully paved and has sandstone pillars and amazing potted specimens. And we also have a lovely playground that is centered around large trees that give the space a wonderful ambience with tables situated under them for dining.
We also have our own herb and vegetable gardens, some of which customers can wander through. These supplement the café at certain times of the year along with the fresh produce that is bought daily from local suppliers. We love buying local and try to use as may local and surrounding Canberra artisans as possible.
